Pepper Time respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information.

This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the Pepper Time mobile application, website, subscriptions, and related services.

We do not ask you to provide sensitive medical information to create or use a Pepper Time account.

App activity and progress

Pepper Time may process information generated through your use of the app, including:

• Completed Pepper Reps

• Completion dates and app activity

This information is used to provide the app’s progress, personalisation and continuity features.

Journal and reflection information

Pepper Time allows you to record private journal entries, check-ins, moods, notes and reflections.

These entries may contain information that you choose to provide. Please avoid including information that you do not want processed or stored through the app.

Where journal information is stored only on your device, it remains under your control unless you delete the app, reset your device, or use a device-backup or synchronisation service.

Subscription information

Subscriptions and payments are processed by Apple through the App Store.

Pepper Time may receive limited transaction information from Apple, such as:

• Subscription product selected

• Subscription status

• Purchase or renewal status

• Transaction identifier

• Entitlement and expiration status

Pepper Time does not receive or store your full payment-card details. Apple processes payment information according to its own privacy policy and terms.

 

Device and technical information

We may process limited technical information required to operate, protect and improve the app, such as:

• Device type

• Operating-system version

• App version

• Language and region

• Error and crash information

• Technical diagnostic information

Notifications

If you enable notifications, Pepper Time may send reminders and app-related messages.

You can turn notifications off at any time through your iPhone settings.

• Display completed Reps, streaks and achievements

• Deliver journal and reflection features

• Verify subscription access

• Restore App Store purchases

We do not use private journal entries for advertising.

Service providers may process information only for the purpose of providing their services to us and are expected to protect it appropriately.

• Protect the rights, safety or property of users, Pepper Time or others

• Investigate fraud, abuse or security incidents

• Complete a merger, sale, restructuring or transfer of the business, subject to appropriate safeguards

 

6. International data transfers

Some service providers may process information in countries outside Switzerland, the European Union or the European Economic Area.

Where personal data is transferred internationally, we use appropriate legal safeguards where required, such as adequacy decisions, recognised contractual protections or other lawful transfer mechanisms.

Swiss law imposes requirements on international transfers where the destination does not provide an adequate level of data protection.

 

7. Data retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

Retention periods may depend on:

• How long you use Pepper Time

Locally stored information may remain on your device until you delete it, reset the app, or remove the app.

8. Account deletion

Where Pepper Time provides account creation, you may request deletion of your Pepper Time account and associated personal data through the app’s account settings or by contacting us at: jolien@gutscaleurs.com

Deleting your Pepper Time account does not automatically cancel an Apple subscription.

You must manage or cancel your subscription separately through:

iPhone Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions

Some information may be retained where required by law or for legitimate purposes such as fraud prevention, transaction records, dispute resolution or security.

 

9. Your privacy rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Request access to your personal information

• Ask us to correct inaccurate information

• Request deletion of your information

• Restrict or object to certain processing

• Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent

The privacy information shown on Pepper Time’s App Store product page is intended to summarise the app’s data practices.

It should be read together with this Privacy Policy. Apple requires developers to declare data collected by the app and by integrated third-party services in App Store Connect.

 

15. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when Pepper Time changes, new features are introduced, service providers change, or legal requirements are updated.

The latest version will be published on our website and identified by its effective date.

Where required, we will provide additional notice of significant changes.
